If you are new to Grace, here is some introductory content on some of our core beliefs:

Stupid Christians

If Christians are supposed to be God’s people, then why do they act like that?
Be honest, you’ve probably asked that question.

It would be convenient for a church to explain this perception that Christians are out-of-touch, judgmental hypocrites as some sort of unfair stereotype. But, maybe the reason it strikes a chord is because we’ve all met “that guy.”

When we’re honest, we know we go to church with these guys. Maybe they’re us.

As a church, we must commit that we can do better, that we must do better, and that we will do better.

Easter 2010

The resurrection reminds Christians that we are not just saved from, but that we are saved to. Saved to a mission.

Cut Deep

At some point in our walk with God something awful happens. It rips through our happiness and leaves us exposed and alone with some big questions. This question has been asked a thousand different ways in a thousand different languages, but it all boils down to this,“God, where are you now?”

We believe that there are real answers to real pain, and that our God brings healing. We promise we won’t dance around tough questions with churchy sounding nonsense, and we won’t teach you how to fake it and lock in a smile until nobody is looking. Instead, we will talk about who God is, what he might be doing in your life, and work through some practical advice on using your story to help others.

In the Wilderness

If you’ve ever been lost in the woods, you might have a sense of what it was like for the Israelites. Wandering in the desert, the shadows grow long and the light fades from gold through purple, until the world is gray. And in this gray world, you have to make a decision. Which way do I go? And the decision matters, and will matter far beyond your life.

START

The Christian life is one big start followed by a lifetime of little starts.

God is moving in our church, and people are starting to follow Jesus. Starting with Jesus is one big start and a life of little starts. "I will start to follow you with my life...therefore I will start to follow you with my money, my time, my body, my heart."

Wherever you are in Jesus there is something new to Start. As we enter the new year we are going to talk about what it means to "Start."
