Sermon Series: In the Wilderness

If you’ve ever been lost in the woods, you might have a sense of what it was like for the Israelites. Wandering in the desert, the shadows grow long and the light fades from gold through purple, until the world is gray. And in this gray world, you have to make a decision. Which way do I go? And the decision matters, and will matter far beyond your life.

When you’re lost, there are some non-negotiables. You have to be united with the people you’re with, have to follow a leader, and have to seek out a true north rather than wandering to the nearest path of least resistance. Life is about turning-point decisions and often these are made not in perfect light, but in the wilderness. We need to be a church where we get big decisions right. Join as we learn from the Israelites and their journey in the wilderness.
